What is EPCglobal?

EPCglobal is leading the development of industry-driven standards for the Electronic Product Code™ (EPC) to support the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in today’s fast-moving, information rich, trading networks.

GS1 China, founded in 1988 under the authorization of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China as an affiliate of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), is in charge of organizing, coordinating and administrating article numbering and Auto-ID work throughout China.

GS1 China is the only representative of EPCglobal in Chinese Mainland which was actively involved in EPC researches, standardization, promotion and coordination.
